The woman who opens the door doesn't fill the frame by half, but she nonetheless seems to block out all the light from inside the house as she scowls blandly at Helly. Her gaze cuts from the woman's face to the plate of cookies and back, clearly mistrusting what's on offer, but not yet overtly hostile.

"No, thank you," she says in a low, thickly-accented voice, but catches that pause, and meets Helly's eyes directly.

"I have also recently arrived."
