A pause as she's watching the kettle in muted silence, chewing her lip. "I tried something with him. I thought it would work, but it didn't, and now... I just feel like I don't know anything. I'm not even back at square one, I'm at square zero." She turns to lean against the counter, watching Arthur steadily for a moment. "Where I was before here, I was... at work." It's an inadequate description, but it'll serve for now. "For this company called Lumon. And if we did anything wrong at work, they made us go to the Break Room, and we had to read this apology over and over again until the supervisor thought we sounded sincere. The last time I did it I read it 1072 times. The only break I had was when I went in the elevator, but then I was back again and I just went right back to the Break Room. So I tried saying it to the doctor. I thought maybe this was a Lumon thing; I thought this whole place was a Lumon thing. I thought it was some new punishment they'd dreamt up for me because of – something I did. But he had no idea what I was talking about. I asked about my colleagues and he said I was making them up, he said I was delusional. And now I don't know what to think anymore. I was just so sure..."
