I am Russian.

[ Not that he's ever really been responsible for shoveling a driveway, being that he's only ever lived in apartments in Russia's assorted metropolises, but he and the others did shovel at the fire station in Chicago and in Moscow—and even if he had no experience with this, he works out. He's stronger than her.

Vasiliy picks an area and sets to work, bending at the knees, moving quickly and efficiently with the shovel close to his body. It's exertion, but it's not bad—there's a recognition that his muscles are working, a slight increase in his pulse, but it's nothing that he can't handle. After he's cleared out a meter or two in good time, he straightens up again, one hand resting on the top of the shovel as he stands it on the cleared cement, and looks over his shoulder at her. ]


You are— [ A pause as he racks his brain for the word he needs to convey the specific motion. ] Throwing—flinging. You are flinging. Wasting your energy. And you are not bending right. You will get tired too fast.
