[Without hesitation, Margaret sets off into the blustery storm and gets to work. It's immediately clear from her lack of technique that she's hardly had to shovel snow in her life--at least, not this level of snow. Even when she was in Korea, a lot of the menial, physical labor was left to the corpsmen and MPs.
Margaret shuffles towards the edge of the driveway, then wedges the edge of the shovel into the snow, trying to find the ground. She then inserts the shovel horizontally, pushing it forward to pick up as much snow as possible in one go. With great effort, she lifts the shovel to excavate a six-inch tall block of snow and flings it off to the side as far as she can from the driveway. Every so often, she glances back at Vasiliy and furiously redoubles her efforts.
It doesn't take very long for her technique to wear her down, and for her to stop flinging the snow so dramatically. She instead opts to pick it up and sort of toss it half-heartedly for her to later deal with. It takes her about fifteen minutes before she's exhausted. Margaret stops for a moment, leaning against the shovel and catching her breath as snow continues to fall around her. But she can't give up. She's only excavated the very edge of the driveway.]
Just taking a break! [She shouts, trying to get a word in before Vasiliy can interject.]
