[Margaret lets out an irritated huff.]

And you don't give orders, either. I'm perfectly capable of deciding when it's necessary to work and when it's not, thank you. Besides--I need to make sure you do the job properly.

[She doesn't really need to do anything, really, but it makes her feel more in control. Control over the situation, over her environment, over the confusion and disorientation of being thrust into suburbia. It's what she did to keep herself sane in Korea--cling to how things were supposed to be done. And old habits tend to die hard.

She throws open the door and stalks into the garage, digging through the unfamiliar clutter for a snow shovel. After a few minutes, she spots it, nestled between the boxes of untouched Christmas decorations and hardware tools. Margaret lets out a triumphant ah-hah! and pulls it out, holding it aloft like a trophy. The shovel's head is slightly dented, but otherwise seems in good condition.]
