Numbers waits for what seems like an eternity for the stranger to return. He shoves his hands into his pockets, staring blankly into the house and trying to make out what he can--which is still not very much. As soon as he sees Wrench's silhouette appear in view, he swallows, trying not to look too impatient as the man addresses him.
"Didn't know you were that eager to have me die again." Maybe not the best joke to make, given the circumstances. He rolls his eyes and lets out a scoff, strolling across the lawn and into the house.
Numbers closes the door behind him, eyes flitting around the room to take in the details. It looks eerily similar to the home he found himself in when he woke up here. To think that people actually choose to live like this makes him want to shudder.
The stranger is still standing in the room with them. He turns to look towards them, that same pleasant smile on his face, and gives her a curt nod.
"Thanks. Appreciate it. Would you excuse us for a moment?"
And then he turns to look back at Wrench. The smile immediately drops, replaced with an annoyed expression. "Who is this woman?" he asks, bluntly. "How much does she know about you? About us?"
He doesn't make any particular effort to disguise the fact he's talking about Teddy, signing in their direction. He simply assumes they can't understand him.
